Taylor-DeJongh completes APEC gas study
Taylor-DeJongh (TDJ) has completed “Potential for Growth of Natural Gas as a Clean Energy Source in APEC Developing Economies.” This report, written in cooperation with ResourcesLaw International (Australia), was funded by APEC’s Energy Working Group, Expert Group on Clean Fossil Energy.

The report is a reference tool for policymakers in APEC economies who are investigating expanding the use of natural gas as a clean energy fuel to meet their growing energy needs.

The study focuses on increasing the utilization of gas in the developing member economies (China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Russia), as well as on the evolution of the global LNG market and the competitiveness of gas versus other traditional fuels. As part of the overall project, a pipeline of potential projects was also prepared.

The United States Trade & Development Agency has also agreed to sponsor a symposium to disseminate the findings of the report in mid-2007.
