In MEED's
March 16, 2007 Daily News section, Taylor-DeJongh's (TDJ) work in
Jordan is discussed:
"A consortium led by the US' Taylor-DeJongh
will sign at the end of March the consultancy contract to manage
the break-up of Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC). Work
on the contract is due to start in April.
JPRC's concession for the kingdom's sole
25,000-barrel-a-day refinery at Zarqa, in the east, expires in
2008. The client is the Energy & Mineral Resources Ministry
(MEED 19:1:07)."

Taylor-DeJongh completes APEC gas study
Taylor-DeJongh (TDJ) has completed Potential
for Growth of Natural Gas as a Clean Energy Source in APEC Developing
Economies. This report, written in cooperation with ResourcesLaw
International (Australia), was funded by APECs Energy Working
Group, Expert Group on Clean Fossil Energy.
The report is a reference tool for policymakers
in APEC economies who are investigating expanding the use of natural
gas as a clean energy fuel to meet their growing energy needs.
The study focuses on increasing the utilization
of gas in the developing member economies (China, Indonesia, Malaysia,
the Philippines, Vietnam, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Russia), as well
as on the evolution of the global LNG market and the competitiveness
of gas versus other traditional fuels. As part of the overall project,
a pipeline of potential projects was also prepared.
The United States Trade & Development Agency
has also agreed to sponsor a symposium to disseminate the findings
of the report in mid-2007.

This UN Compact Quarterly article on Global Alumina
and Guinea provides an analysis of how the project is expected to
help the local economy and people. Taylor-DeJongh advised Global
Alumina on the development of this alumina refinery and associated
infrastructure. TDJ advised on sourcing local capital and has also
completed a training needs assessment, to permit Global Alumina
to maximize its use of local labor.
